SEP 11-OCT 8 Reflection: 13 Years of Collaboration. Inspired by journeys to Africa and beyond, Seattle artists Jenny Pohlman and Sabrina Knowles collaborate on unique and embellished glass sculpture that captures history, beauty, cultural diversity, and spirit. The exhibit features large-scale installations.

SEP 17 Larson Gallery Guild Membership party at Sagelands Vineyard. All current, new, and renewing members are invited to attend.

SEP 22 Free lecture: Glass artists Jenny Pohlman and Sabrina Knowles reflect on their 13 years of collaboration and the process of making glass sculpture.   Presentation at 7 pm, Anthon Hall, YVCC.

OCT 7,8,9 Workshop: Introduction to Digital Photography with Rob Prout and Ron Olson.   A basic introduction to digital photography including resolution, image capture, software for image manipulation, print settings, storage, organization, and more.

OCT 14 Traditional Chinese Painting with Chen Lin (chair of the Art Department, Anhui University, Anhui Province, China). Free lecture on traditional Chinese painting, both ancient and contemporary. 7 pm, YVCC.

OCT 15,16 Workshop with Chen Lin. An introduction to both traditional fine-line and contemporary free-form Chinese painting techniques.

OCT 30-DEC 10 50th Annual Central Washington Artists Exhibition. This regional juried competition offers over $6000 in prize money, and exhibits the finest contemporary art produced in Central Washington. Call the Gallery for entry forms, or visit the website.

JAN 8-28 Carol Hassen RetrospectiveLarson Gallery director Carol Hassen exhibits paintings, drawings, and collages reflecting the other half of her life.

FEB 5-25 Eidetic Variations / Central Core by Richard C. Elliott. In a series of 185 inkjet prints, variations of radiant geometric pattern are investigated as fundamental patterns of energy. Additionally, 85 reflective paintings will be included, exploring the core of eidetic variations.

MAR 5-18 2006 Washington State High School Photo Exhibition. State high school students compete for juried awards.

APR 2-29 34th National Juried Photography Exhibition. This national juried competition offers over $3000 in prize money and attracts artists from all over the United States. Call the Gallery for entry forms, or visit the website.

APR 29 5th Annual Larson Gallery Arts Awards. Special recognition event honoring a man and a woman for their contributions to the arts in the community.

MAY 13 Tour of Artists’ Homes and StudiosLocal artists open their homes and studios to the public.

MAY 15-JUN 7 YVCC Department of Visual Arts Student & Faculty ExhibitYVCC studio classes exhibit work from the year, along with new work by the art faculty.

JUN & JUL Summer Workshop Series. Professional artists present a variety of workshops suitable for beginning and advanced students.
