I use the human figure and other animals in relationship with their environment to tell a story. I build up the foundation for my pieces with many thin, transparent layers of imagery, pattern, and tinted washes creating a dreamy, atmospheric quality. I like to leave some of the underpainting showing as a visual map of learning my story as I paint it.
