Mannequins Plus

Mannequins Plus

We are now looking forward to the forthcoming exhibition called “Mannequins Plus” which opens to the public on October 8th with silent bidding and culminates with a live auction on October 21st from 2 to 6 pm. Artists of all backgrounds are transforming 13-inch artist’s mannequins into creative and unique works of art and then generously donating their work to the Larson Gallery Guild to be auctioned off. Sculptors, painters, fiber artists, jewelers, glass workers, and multi-media artists are involved.

This time around the mannequins have their own two-week exhibit at the Gallery, not just the “drop in and look us over” arrangement of the 2005 event called “Figuratively Speaking.” In early September, the transformed mannequins had started arriving and are temporarily posed on Gallery shelves in the office area.

Admittance to the live auction is $15 and includes wines and refreshments.  All proceeds support the arts and educational programs offered by Larson Gallery.  Completed mannequins, photographed by Gary Miller,
