Tarra Hall is a Central Washington based artist working with oil paints and mixed media drawings to translate concepts in chemistry. The seed for this interest was planted during her associate degree at Big Bend Community College in Moses Lake, WA., and grew further upon receiving two bachelor’s degrees at Central Washington University.; a B.F.A. in fine art and a B.S. in chemistry. It was further nurtured with the support of the Ronald E.

McNair scholars program. She received funding for the research and development of a body of artwork; it was the foundation for her first solo exhibit and the experience shaped her practice today. Tarra lives in Ellensburg, taking advantage of opportunities to explore nearby hikes and campgrounds. She became a resident artist at Gallery One in 2018, and continues to grow her skills through the classes, workshops and exhibit opportunities they offer. Tarra supports her artistic endeavors as a line cook at Stovehouse in Cle Elum, where she enjoys learning the ways chemistry affects everyday cooking.
