Becky graduated from Kansas State University in 1970 with a degree in Interior Design but it was not until she viewed a gallery showing by Susan Hahn in the spring of 2018 that she decided to take lessons in oil painting. She retired from the USDA in 2015 and also from being a USTA umpire due to health reasons. She and her husband travel extensively, have visited all seven continents, all fifty states, Canada, Mexico, and many Caribbean islands. Her first works were of flowers but she soon began painting memories of travel in the Galapagos and mountain and ocean scenery. She is still a beginner but enjoys the medium and friends she has met along her artistic journey and hopes she will leave behind a little fun and beauty.
