HEEDING GROUND is a solo exhibition of Eastern Washington landscape paintings by Ron McGaughey, Manson, WA (on Lake Chelan). His paintings are selections from the vast landscape that contain some emotional appeal. “Heeding Ground” simply means paying careful attention to the surface of the canvas and the surface of the earth.

43rd Annual Central Washington Artists Exhibition showcases artwork created within the last two years by artists living in this region. With many excellent artists and prize money of $4550, the competition is steep. Internationally known artists Alfredo Arrequin and Susan Lytle are this year’s jurors. A show not to miss if you want to see some of the best contemporary art in Central Washington.

ART TO WEAR is a biennial juried exhibition that includes anything that adorns the body. This competition is now open to 13 western states (USA) and will be juried by well-known artists Kiff Slemmons (jeweler) and Ann Bowker (fibers). Unique use of materials, creativity, and prizes blend for a wonderful show.

27th ANNUAL PHOTO EXHIBITION is juried by nationally-known photographers and is open to all residents of the USA. This exhibition has grown steadily and features contemporary photographs from many states. Strong competition and good prize money creates a challenging show.

YVCC ART DEPT. STUDENT AND FACULTY SHOW is student artwork (all levels of studio classes) completed during the school year. Pieces are selected by the faculty for originality, diversity, and quality. Art faculty also exhibit new work.

BEYOND DECORATION is an invitational show of regional artists who utilize decorative elements in their artwork but go beyond the decorative with expressive, thought-provoking, or emotional content.
