Celebrating its 71st year at the Larson Gallery, the Central Washington Artists’ Exhibition showcases the most current and innovative artwork being produced in this region. 

The juror this year is Jonathan Happ. Jonathan was born in Sterling, IL. He received a BFA from Iowa State University and an MFA from University of Washington. He is both an art scholar and an awarded fine art instructor, having taught privately and at well-known institutions including the University of Washington-Seattle, UW-Bothell, The Evergreen State College, and Gage Academy of Art in Seattle. He currently resides in Tumwater, WA with his wife, daughter, and cat. In addition to being a painter, Happ is the Director of Childhood’s End Gallery, in Olympia, WA.

Important Note: This is a highly competitive show that regularly receives hundreds of works entered by artists hoping to be selected. Due to limited display space THE GALLERY gives the juror a number limit of works that they can select. 

Art Eligibility

  • All artistic mediums accepted.
  • Art must not have been previously shown in a juried Larson Gallery show.
  • Art must be original and created in the last two years, artworks submitted without a creation date and/or works created prior to 2024 will automatically be disqualified.
  • Artwork must be ready to hang or display.

Submission Guidelines

  • Artwork must be entered through the form linked below by July 31st, 2026 at 11:59pm.
  • Artwork must be identical to the submitted image.
  • Artists who have entered work for this exhibit must pay the entry fee. Works not paid for will be disqualified.
  • Payment can be made through PayPal (from the buttons linked below), by check, or in-person at the gallery. 

Conditions & Retrieval of Work

The Larson Gallery, The Larson Gallery Guild, and Yakima Valley College, hereafter referred to as “THE GALLERY” together make the following conditions apply for all artists entering art for the exhibition, and by entering work into this exhibition the artist is confirming agreement to these terms:

  1. The Gallery reserves the right to photograph  exhibiting artwork for limited publicity purposes;
  2. All art must remain on exhibition throughout the designated show schedule;
  3. A commission of 35% will be charged on all sales;
  4. Sales tax will be collected and reported for the artist;
  5. The gallery reserves the right to refuse artwork that is too fragile, oversized, or does not meet conditions of eligibility;
  6. Artists are responsible for delivery, pick-up, and shipping costs;
  7. The Gallery cannot assume responsibility for loss or damage during shipment;
  8. Insurance coverage is provided during the exhibition.
  9. The submission cost is $10 per artwork entered. Works not paid for will be disqualified.
  10. Larson Gallery will not refund entry fees.

Submissions Open: June 2nd, 2026 – July 31st, 2026

Submission Deadline: July 31st, 2026 at 11:59pm

Qualifying works sent to Juror: August 1st, 2026

TENTATIVE: Gallery receives results back: August 8th, 2026

TENTATIVE: Results mailed to artists by : August 15th, 2026

Artwork Drop-off: September 1st, 2026 – September 4th, 2026

Exhibition Open: September 12th – October 17th, 2026

Opening Receptions & Awards Ceremony: September 12th, 3-5 pm, Awards at 4pm

Artwork Pick-up: October 21st – October 23rd, 2026

Work can have more than one image submitted to show further detail. Multiple images CAN be dropped in a single upload box.
