Women Artists: Where Are We Now

January 8 – February 13, 2010

The Larson Gallery presents an exhibition titled Women Artists – Where We Are Now – in partnership with the City of Yakima, YVCC, and Gallery One in Ellensburg.

This exhibit inaugurates Yakima’s year-long celebration of Washington State’s amendment giving women the right to vote. Yakima Valley Museum, Allied Arts and other local groups are also producing programs in honor of this historical event.

The focus of the Larson Gallery and Gallery One exhibitions/projects centers on contemporary Central Washington women artists, and examines the cultural influences, barriers, and accomplishments that have impacted the artists’ lives. Historical, philosophical, social, and aesthetic cultural concerns are addressed through personal artist narratives and an exhibit brochure
