Layered Histories
The Larson Gallery is pleased to present Layered Histories, featuring the work of Lynda K. Rockwood and Gail Grinnell. This exhibition presents an overview of each artist’s work and addresses themes that weave personal and aesthetic histories into the context of the show. Both artists use a wide range of materials including bronze, hydro-stone, fossils, silk, polyester, paper and wood. Closing reception: Friday, October 17, 5:30-8 pm. Both artists will discuss their work at 7 pm.
October 11 & 12: Learn different collage and assemblage techniques while investigating adhesives, materials, and design concepts in Carol Hassen’s workshop– Collage, Assemblage, and More. Call for details.

53rd Annual Central Washington Artists’ Exhibition
Regional juried competition exhibits the finest contemporary Central Washington art. Call for prospectus, or download under “Call for Artists.” Opening reception: Saturday, November 1, 2-5 pm with awards at 3 pm.
January 11 – March 7:
Yakima Honors Peoples of the Plateau
Grand Opening: at the Larson Gallery, Yakima Valley Museum, and Allied Arts Yakima. This citywide celebration with much adjunct programming includes the Larson Gallery exhibit of Native American photographs taken by Lee Moorhouse from 1898-1915 and photos taken by current Heritage University students. Opening reception: Sunday, January 11, 2-5 pm in the gallery.
April 3 – May 2:
36th National Juried Photo Exhibition
This national juried competition offers several thousand dollars in prize money and attracts artists from all over the United States. Call the Gallery for prospectus, or visit www.larsongallery.org. Opening reception: Friday, April 3, 5-7:30 pm with awards at 7pm.

8th Annual Larson Gallery Arts Awards
The Larson Gallery Guild honors people from the community who support the arts. (2008-09 honorees to be announced.)

Department of Visual Arts Exhibition
YVCC art students exhibit work from the year, with new work by art faculty. Opening reception: Monday, May 11, 5:30-7:30 pm with awards at 6 pm.

10th Annual Tour of Artists’ Homes and Studios
Local artists open their homes and studios to the public. 10 am – 5 pm.

LGG Members’ Arts and Crafts Show
All artwork in this non-juried exhibition has been completed by current members of the Larson Gallery Guild. Opening reception: Friday, June 12, 5-7:30 pm.
